74th WHO World Health Assembly

Political priority for oral diseases in a global health context has long been low, yet this is about to change. With the adoption of a resolution on oral health during the 74th Executive Board meeting of WHO in January 2021, Member States called for the development of a global oral health strategy, action plan, and monitoring framework in order to integrate oral health with Universal Health Coverage and the global NCD agenda by 2030. The endorsement of the resolution is on the agenda of the upcoming World Health Assembly taking place from 24 May until 1 June 2021.
